UK Sites Caravan Parks and campsites.online in Nottinghamshire and Sherwood Forest

Some great easy mainly off road and trail cycling based from the Teversal Camping and Caravan club Site (excellent shower block) and circled on map. Explore Pleasby Park on the green route and Hardwick Park on the blue route. 

Wagtail Country Park Caravan Club Site just north of Grantham, Nottinghamshire is highly recommended a great new site with loads of spaces. Very helpful wardens. Even better if you are into fishing - if not lovely views a with many pitches located overlooking a lake. Only a couple of miles to the Downtown Shopping centre on the A1.

Wollaton Park, Nottingham. A great park ? easy parking for motorhomes but have to pay ? plenty to explore and a museum inside the hall if wet

Sandiacre on the Nottingham / Derbyshire border that you would normally drive past on the A52 enroute somewhere is well worth an explore along the canal towpath. Easy parking in the local Lidl car park.

The Lambley Dumbles located in Nottinghamshire. An interesting name and a pleasant walk withd countryside views. Parking in the village of Lambley where there are 2 good pubs.

A pleasant riverside path from Trent Lock to Sawley Marina. A couple of excellent pubs at the start Trent Lock and a nice cafe at Sawley Marina a mile away. Located on the Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire border.

Silverhill Trail and the 5 Pits Trail from Teversal Campsite. Silverhill a very flat trail leading into the 5 pits which had some very steep sections. Explored Tibshelf but not a lot there - found 2 pubs but both shut. Great off road cycling and walking trails - leaving many more trails in the area to still explore at a later visit. The whole area is a leisure cyclists haven with the Teversal campsite being a superb base.
